Museum Hours
Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays.
Special visiting hours may be arranged for educational groups and researchers by prior appointment.
Group Visits & Research Access

Before You Arrive
The museum is located at Ruta Mcal. Estigarribia Km 10.5, San Lorenzo, Central Department, Paraguay.
Parking is available on site. Public transportation is accessible via bus routes along Ruta Mcal. Estigarribia.
For group visits, please contact us at least one week in advance to coordinate with our educational staff.
When You Arrive
Check in at the reception desk upon arrival.
A staff member or volunteer will guide you through the exhibition halls.
Please follow museum guidelines to help preserve our specimens and collections.
Visitor Policies
Photography is permitted in public exhibition areas. Flash photography is not allowed.
No food or drinks permitted in exhibition areas.
Please do not touch the specimens or display cases.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Only service animals are allowed.

Our laboratory facilities are used for processing and studying biological specimens collected during field expeditions. Researchers analyze flora and fauna samples here before they are cataloged and stored in our scientific collections.

The MNHNP maintains a specialized reference library with scientific publications, taxonomic guides, and research materials on Paraguay's biodiversity. Available to researchers, students, and the public by appointment.
