New Biological Inventory Expedition in the Chaco Region

The Biological Research Division has launched a new field expedition to document the flora and fauna of the Paraguayan Chaco. Our researchers are collecting specimens to expand our scientific collections and contribute to the understanding of Paraguay's unique biodiversity.
This initiative continues the work begun in 1980 with the National Biological Inventory Project, which led to the founding of the MNHNP.
The collected specimens will be processed in our laboratory and stored in our scientific collections, serving researchers and the public in the effort to conserve Paraguay's natural heritage.
